Gentle exercises for fibromyalgia: what's in the Cocolime library
A guide to the kinds of movement Suzanne built for her own fibromyalgia, and how each session is structured so you can come back tomorrow. Looking for the short version? See our fibromyalgia page.
Free to start: the No-Crash Fitness Guide, with a regular and a lower-energy 10-minute workout included.
Why standard workouts often go wrong with fibromyalgia
Suzanne's own pattern, for years, was a normal class followed by days of payback. The problem wasn't effort. It was that standard workouts are built on repetition, intensity and pushing through, and none of those survive contact with a body that pays for over-doing it later.
What she changed in her own weekly training became the Cocolime Method: shorter sessions, lower intensity, no repeated moves, longer breaks, a modification for nearly everything, and permission to stop. Consistency over intensity, because the workout you can do again tomorrow is the one that counts.
The five kinds of exercise in the library
Strength with light weights. Light hand weights or household items, with no exercise repeated within a session, so no one muscle or joint takes the same demand over and over. Seated versions available.
Low-impact cardio and MIIT. Cardio without jumping or pounding, and MIIT interval sessions kept at low-to-medium intensity, with longer recoveries than a standard interval class.
Pilates and toning. Core and whole-body toning, on the mat or in a chair; floor work is never required unless you choose it.
Stretching and mobility. Woven into every session, and as standalone sessions for days when that's all you want.
Dance. Low-impact, follow-along and fun, for the days when you want to move without it feeling like a workout.
How a session is structured
- Sessions run from 5 to 45 minutes, and playlists are sorted by type, time and energy level.
- Low-to-zero impact, low-to-medium intensity, never a push to exhaustion.
- No exercise repeats within a workout.
- Stretching woven in, with longer recovery breaks than a standard class.
- A modification for nearly every move, seated, standing and lying-down options, and permission to skip, pause or stop.
The one rule underneath all of it: listen to your body, and never push through pain or fatigue.

Questions about exercising with fibromyalgia
What kinds of exercise are in the library?
Strength with light weights, low-impact cardio and MIIT, Pilates and toning, stretching and mobility, and dance, from 5 to 45 minutes, seated, standing or lying down.
Is there a program made specifically for fibromyalgia?
Yes. Fibro Fit & Fabulous is a 28-day mini program inside CLF TV, designed for people living with fibromyalgia who want a gentle, structured start. The 30 Day Jump Start and MITFIT 90 are built on the same low-impact method.
Can I do the workouts seated?
Yes. The library includes all-seated sessions, and most standing workouts show a seated or supported option.
What do I do on a flare day?
Pick a shorter or lower-energy session from the playlists, or rest. Choosing less is how the library is meant to be used, not a failure to keep up.
Will this help my fibromyalgia?
We can't promise that, and we don't treat any condition. What we can tell you is how the workouts are designed, and what members describe in their own words on our Stories page. For anything about your fibromyalgia itself, your clinician is the right person to ask.
Is there a free way to try it?
Yes. The No-Crash Fitness Guide is free and comes with two 10-minute workouts, a regular version and a lower-energy version. Get the guide.

About Suzanne
Suzanne is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor since 2010 who lives with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. After years of workouts that left her worse for weeks, she built the Cocolime Method to be the training she could actually keep doing. Read her story.
Cocolime Fitness is a movement and fitness library, not physical therapy or medical treatment. Please talk with your clinician about what's right for you.
Who Cocolime Fitness is for
Cocolime workouts are designed for people whose bodies don’t recover from exercise on a predictable schedule — because of a chronic condition, ongoing pain, or energy that changes from one day to the next. Most members live with one or more of these:
If your condition isn’t listed, you’re not excluded. Workouts here are chosen by how your body is doing today — energy, pain, mobility — not by diagnosis.
Who it’s not for
Cocolime Fitness is fitness, not treatment. It is not physical therapy, medical rehabilitation, or a program for any specific disease. If you’re newly diagnosed, recovering from surgery or a serious flare, or have been told to limit activity, please talk with your clinician before you start.
