Your on-demand personal trainer for autoimmune conditions

Low-impact strength, cardio, Pilates and stretching, designed for people living with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s and other autoimmune conditions, by a certified trainer who lives with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue herself.

Exercise with an autoimmune condition rarely goes to plan

Energy that changes from one day to the next. Joints that were fine yesterday. A workout that felt easy last week and costs you the next three days now. Most people we work with have tried the standard advice, "just start slow", and found there was nothing designed for a body that doesn't behave the same way twice.

Cocolime Fitness was built for exactly that: workouts designed so you can choose how much to do today, and come back tomorrow.

How the workouts are designed

Every session in the library follows the same rules, because Suzanne wrote them for her own body first:

  • Low-to-zero impact, easy on joints.
  • Low-to-medium intensity, never a push to exhaustion.
  • No exercise repeats within a workout, so no one joint or muscle takes the same demand over and over.
  • Stretching woven in, with longer recovery breaks than a standard class.
  • A modification for nearly every move, and permission to skip, pause or stop.
  • Seated, standing and lying-down options, so you can choose the position that suits the day.
  • Sessions from 5 to 45 minutes, with shorter, lower-energy choices for flare days.

The one rule underneath all of it: listen to your body, and never push through pain or fatigue.

What members with autoimmune conditions say

Jeanette M.

Lupus

"I have lost 16 pounds since being diagnosed with lupus. No gym membership necessary! If I, a person with chronic pain and fatigue who is knee-deep in grad school studies can do it, so can you!"

Tessa C.

Lyme Disease

"I have much more energy and I see physical change in my body. I’m starting to get abs and muscle definition on every single inch of my body! I feel motivated to workout, which I never thought was possible for me."

Daniele B.

Hashimoto’s

“I’m able to do your workouts 4-5 times a week. I’m feeling hopeful that I’ll be able to at least get back to the mobility and strength I had before”

Questions people with autoimmune conditions ask us

Which autoimmune conditions is this designed for?

Cocolime is designed for people living with autoimmune conditions in general, including lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and Hashimoto's, alongside anyone whose energy varies day to day. We have pages for lupus, Hashimoto's and fibromyalgia, and the same library serves all of them.

Do you give exercise instructions for my specific condition?

No. We don't provide condition-specific exercise instruction. The library is built around modifications, choice and low-to-medium intensity throughout, and you choose what fits your day. For anything about your condition itself, your clinician is the right person to ask.

Is there a free guide?

Yes. The No-Crash Fitness Guide is free and comes with two 10-minute workouts, a regular version and a lower-energy version. Get the guide.

What do I do on a flare day?

Pick a shorter or lower-energy session from the playlists, or rest. Choosing less is how the library is meant to be used, not a failure to keep up.

Can I do the workouts seated?

Yes. The library includes all-seated sessions, and most standing workouts show a seated or supported option.
