So I looked into Suzanne’s programs again and was happy to find Fibro Fit. I especially love the feature of the option for low energy days. I can assess and do what feels best for me each day. I’m a full-time undergraduate student based in Southeast Alaska. This year, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS); both my Mother and my great-grandmother also have/had FMS. I was essentially stuck on my couch for most of the Summer and could not work or even take care of myself. I’m significantly better than I was, but I’ve been avoiding movement because (like most people, especially fellow plus-size people) I have a complicated relationship with it; I struggle with perfectionism and pushing myself too hard in the name of “no pain, no gain.” 

I just purchased the MITFIT90 program, and today is my third day on the program! I feel sore, but it’s been a pleasant soreness that makes me feel a small sense of accomplishment. Weight loss would be a pleasant side effect, but that isn’t my goal—my goal is to feel good and to be strong. Especially where I live, it’s important to me to be able to participate in outdoor recreation, like hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. 

So far, it’s a win that I’ve simply started the program (which was specifically this week’s assignment from my therapist). It’s even better that the program itself has felt achievable, supportive, and nourishing! The timing is also fitting, as this time of year is particularly challenging (we have around 6.5 hours of “daylight” right now with daily cloud cover, and we’ll get down to about 4.5 hours of “daylight” by the Solstice). I need to be moving right now, no matter how small. 

I’m so grateful to be here. I’m feeling very hopeful!

Hi, my name is Imane. I have purchased mitfit90 on sale last week and since haven’t missed a day. I did some workouts of coco lime fitness since 2018, but because I have ME/cfs it was quite hard to follow through with them. I started to work on nervous system dysregulation and neuroplasticity this year and see good results from that, so that’s why I decided to try mitfit90. I love that I can choose for a low energy version if needed. And even though I am only on day 6, I loved it so far and have not had repercussions in my energy or pain levels (yet) so this is great and a win for me.

SCOLIOSIS & FIBROMYALGIA

I used to say it was easier to list the parts of my body that were pain free rather than trying to explain to someone what parts were hurting,  because that would make for a much shorter list!  My shins and maybe my earlobes.  Everything else has,  at some point or another,  hurt.  Maybe I was trying to add a little humor to my situation,  which if I’m being honest wasn’t really that funny.   

When I was six I was diagnosed with scoliosis,  with an s shaped curve in my spine.  This required me to wear a back brace from age 11 to about 15, and severely limited my physical activity.   When I was 15 my specialist said my spine was stabilized, as I was finished growing,  and the brace was no longer needed.  About three years later I began to have intense lover back pain. By my mid 20’s the pain wasn’t limited to my back. It felt like my body would pick a spot and decide to hate it for a while.  Tenderness, stiffness,  pain and fatigue became part of my everyday normal. It took almost five years to get an official diagnosis of fibromyalgia.   Fast forward through ten years of good days, bad days, and lots of frustration and then I stumbled upon  cocolime fitness! I signed up for mitfit 90 in March of 2021.  The exercise schedule,  the gentle works outs,  and the stretching were a great combination for me.  I especially love the programs attitude of “do what you can,  listen to your body and progress slowly”. So many mainstream exercise programs make you feel like a failure if you can’t keep up,  or can’t do the exercises exactly the way they are shown.  But with cocolime the “your body,  your journey” approach removed all of the guilt and shame of not being a fitness superstar!  

 I loved the mitfit nine step nutrition plan. It showed me how to eat to nourish my body,  giving it lots of anti inflammatory nutritious food that make by body feel better.   As a bonus, my husband and kids are eating healthier now too!  

After finishing mitfit I became a members of CLTV,  and am loving the many many workout options.  I plan to remain a lifelong member!

Thanks to Cocolime fitness I have less pain, increased strength and flexibility,  my skin is clearer and softer, and I have lost 35 pounds. I will be eternally grateful!

Exercising for me is the difference between feeling almost normal and feeling like I'm 80. Even when I stop for a week or so I feel the difference right away. It will have to be a lifetime commitment. I know others who suffer from Fibro and I don't know how much better it is possible for them to feel, but I'm not even sure they know just how much exercising makes a difference. The problem is the first few weeks are really the worst when you start exercising, and I think many believe it makes them worse and give up. Or Like me, they go into it like a crazy person and then feel like they got hit by a train the next day and then can't exercise for a week! I always had the belief that it had to hurt to work. Wow was I wrong. You are the only programme I have found that fits my needs wonderfully.

HASHIMOTO’S

My daughter and I have Hashimoto’s as well as other issues.  We tried various forms of exercise and have always ended up fatigued and in a lot of pain. The only thing we could maintain was gentle pilates but we really weren't getting any stronger.  If anyone had told us 3 months before starting MITFIT 90 that we would be lifting weights, we never ever would have believed them...we couldn't even believe ourselves as the class slowly introduced cardio and weights...and we could do it!  And we didn't crash afterwards!  Whilst we are still tackling various health problems, we are really enjoying having more toned bodies!  And I think the greatest benefit we have received has been better physical stamina for daily activities.  I also had costochondritis during the pandemic, it was intensely painful and whilst phsiotherapists and chiropractors were helpful, the stretches on MITFIT 90 have helped my symptoms almost disappear.  So grateful!  Thank you for all your hard work and for understanding what we really need.

Getting an autoimmune disease definitely brought its downsides. It brought pain, fatigue, rashes, and depression. When I started to exercise regularly it rejuvenated my mind and helped get me out of a period of depression. It has helped me to loosen up my joints and to make my fatigue a little more manageable. Even though I will never be able to exercise lupus out of my life...I feel better. On top of that, I have lost 16 pounds since being diagnosed with lupus. No gym membership necessary! Just this little space by my bed and low to medium intensity workouts by Cocolime Fitness that are geared towards chronic pain and fatigue sufferers. I wanted to share this part of my journey to encourage any of you who are debating on taking the plunge to bettering your health. I’m hitting my 30’s and am adjusting to an active lifestyle once again. I was a nurse in the PICU for a while and got my steps in for the day on the floor and by hitting the shops, but I just couldn’t build up the discipline to exercise regularly. After my accident, I came down with a severe form of Fibromyalgia. I used a wheelchair and walker and then a cane.  Now I am walking again, unassisted and doing my best to keep a routine thanks to MITFIT 90!  It has helped me to keep up the muscle I had to rebuild in physical therapy and keep myself moving. The stretches are amazing, especially now that I am in nursing administration sitting at my desk most of the day. The stretches really help relax these muscles and my flexibility is definitely improving beyond what I could have imagined for myself, and it keeps getting better! I am still taking my medications for Fibromyalgia but I am no longer dependent on creams, heat pads and copious amounts of Tylenol. Thank you so much Suzanne!

Hi Suzanne, I found your information in an article I was reading about fibromyalgia and stumbled on your YouTube channel a month or two ago. You only have a few free videos there but I started to do them twice a week and then lifted heavier weights the other 3-4 days. My fibro was getting worse and at night, my legs felt like they were so heavy I couldn't lift them. My nutritionist suggested I do less cardio and contact a physical trainer for weight lifting help for my fibro and chiari. I couldn't afford that so I signed up for your videos. I have been doing them for almost two weeks and I love them. I do anywhere from 30-40 minutes and I try to mix them up. If it is just a 10 minute video, then I might do 2 or 3. I try to shoot for at least 30 minutes but I love how your videos have warmups and stretches at the end because I think that really helps me. Before I would just lift weights and not do a warmup or any stretching afterwards because I am a busy mom and saw that as a waste of time. With your workouts, my legs don't feel super heavy lately and I am not in as much pain as I normally am. I think your videos have a good mixture of challenging moves in them but not with heavy weights or things that push my body too much. I surely hope you continue what you are doing because I plan on being a subscriber for a long time. I just wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU. Your workouts have been helping me continue to workout with all this pain.

I used to be so active and it was a struggle to find any fun exercise program that I could do. I finished one of your earlier programs and am now on day 23 of the MITFIT 90 and this has been the best I've felt in 5 years. So thank you for giving time and effort to creating this program.

As I approach the end of my 90 days of Mitfit90 here are ten things I just loved about this program. Although I have been an exerciser pretty consistently for 25 years, I never completed a program before boredom or exhaustion set in. But... yay I was able to finish this one! I feel less tired than I have in a long time. More energetic. Leaner but without losing much weight. I tend to get get bigger when I lift heavy weight but with these workouts my muscles seem tighter and smaller  and my clothes fit better.

  1. Fun! Lots of fun factors--good music, creative moves, Suzanne's pleasant demeanor. 

  2. Do-able. None of the workouts are too long or too difficult yet they are uniquely challenging--working smaller muscles, or total body functional moves and balance reflexes.

  3. The workout calendar provides rest days and easy days progressing to more challenging days as you get further along.

  4. No boredom factor. I love the non repetitive nature of most of the workouts. There is a one-and-done on an exercise except for the dance cardio where it's good to repeat the moves so you can follow along better. 

  5. Ability to download the workouts. I was able to load them on to a flashdrive and plug into my TV so they were easily accessible with no streaming issues.

  6. The Nutrition and Lifestyle packs were incredibly informative. I like how they were broken into phases so you could ease yourself into including the suggestions.

  7. Aesthetically pleasing. The workouts are very nice to look at with a clean set and good lighting and beautiful graphics. I love the countdown of the exercises in the rounds. The artwork on the website with the Lifestyle and Nutrition info is so well set up and accessible with lovely colors, artwork and graphics.

  8. The toning moves--I love the light weight work and bodyweight moves some of which I have never seen before even after having done dozens and dozens of workout dvds over the years. 

  9. All the workouts are very joint friendly. 

  10. Suzanne herself! She's such a motivating instructor. I love her calm and supportive demeanor.

I have been into fitness since I was young. Denise Austin on TV was my go to through the 80's and 90's! LOL! My mom is a personal trainer and used to be in fitness competitions. My dad lifts and runs. So, staying in shape has been drilled into my brain for a LONG time!

I, myself, have taught Yoga and Pilates. I have a YogaFit certification.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and CFS after a bout of Mono around 5 years ago. In hindsight, I believe I was under a HUGE amount of stress and my body just gave out.

Since getting ill, I have tried SO MANY things to help. Beachbody (too much) just Yoga (not enough.) I knew I needed to get some strength training and cardio in but couldn't find a program that I could stick with and didn't bore me.

I found Cocolime Fitness from a Google search with fitness and fibromyalgia. This was back in April of this year (2019) after a joint dr told me to go to Physical Therapy full time to help my hip and low back issues. 

I couldn't afford the co-pays and knew there had to be SOMETHING out there! I was so lucky to find you!

From the beginning, I have loved your bubbly spirit and style. You say so many things that just resonate with me. I was so happy to see that you mixed things up and didn't do the SAME THING ALL THE TIME! (UGH)

It took me a few months of doing your free YouTube videos but in early July, I bought the MITFIT program because I wanted to go a little deeper that what your channel offered.

I admit, after doing Beachbody, I was tentative on spending money. Wasn't sure what I was going to get!

I am SO GRATEFUL that I bought it for myself. I printed out all the recipes, tips and guides. They are in a 3 ring binder and I refer to them frequently.

I cannot go a day WITHOUT doing some sort of exercise. Some days it may only be stretching, but I have found that it helps me stay flexible and does perk up my energy.

The way you have the days set up in the 90 day program are easy to follow. If I feel what you have for a particular day is just TOO much for me, I find something else; either from the program or your YouTube page. 

Your program has been a blessing to me. I share it on Instagram often and even showed it to my personal trainer mom!

POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA SYNDROME

I can’t thank you enough for what you do! I’m a woman in her mid-thirties who suffers from Ehlers danlos syndrome and Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. What you said about traditional workouts causing injury when done long term is so true. This happened to me and phrases uttered by the instructors such as “feel the burn” and “no pain no gain” caused me to ignore the warning signs. Now your workouts are all I feel capable of doing without experiencing a health crash or causing further harm to joints that are highly unstable and have very little remaining cartilage. Staying fit when one is not fully healthy is a struggle, and I don’t know where I’d be without your help.

My name is Bridget, and I am in my late twenties. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2015 along with suffering with other medical conditions. It definitely has been a life changing experience as well as a confusing several years. Car Accident

Hi! My name is Daniele and I have fibromyalgia and hashimoto’s disease. I am absolutely loving your workouts. I was in a very bad car accident 2.5 years ago, had a displaced broken tibia along with other more minor injuries. But because of all of the soft tissue damage in the car accident, they decided against surgery so my bone healed still displaced near my knee. I now have severe arthritis and pain in my left knee. I have been doing pretty well with these exercises and one of my favorites to do is the lazy day workout. It was the one that made me decide to purchase your 23 day plan. I think you’re a wonderful teacher and make it fun for me. Thank you for producing content that has actually made me excited to workout. I had tried a “boot camp” style program. The trainers there told me I’d be able to do everything, and though they did their best to modify for me, it just wasn’t working. I needed more rest days in between and at that point seemed useless. But I’m able to do your workouts 4-5 times a week. I was always super athletic as a child so when I stopped moving around near my teen years I started to struggle with body pain very badly.
