Citrus Salmon Sliders - GF, SF

Ingredients: 

  • 2 Salmon fillets with skin removed

  • 1 whole lemon

  • 1/2 an orange

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • Salt to taste

  • 6 Small gluten free buns

  • 1/2 cup red cabbage shredded or sliced thin

  • 1/2 cup green cabbage shredded or sliced thin

  • 1/2 purple onion sliced thin

  • 2 tablespoons avocado mayo

  • 1 teaspoon horseradish sauce

Directions: 

  • Heat a pan on medium and add your oil, butter and 1/2 of your lemon.

  • Once warmed add your shined salmon filets and sprinkle with salt and squeeze the other 1/2 of your lemon on top

  • Cover with a lid and let cook for 3-4 minutes

  • Flip your fish, squeeze 1/2 of orange on top and sprinkle with a little more salt.

  • Cover and cook for another 3-4 minutes

  • At the end take the lid off, flip the fish again and let it brown slightly

  • Take off the stove and let the fish cool

  • For your buns sliced them in half and place them face down on an oiled sheet pan in a 350 degree oven for 3-5 minutes or until lightly browned

  • For your sauce mix your mayo, horseradish and salt to taste together until smooth in a small bowl and set aside

  • For your cabbage slaw finely shred or slice your cabbages and your purple onion and mix together.

  • Assemble the sliders with the sauce, salmon and cabbage slaw and enjoy.
